Although from fact, that Matt Lipsey is Comedy legend director, for me and during the whole production, It was very productive and pleasant collaboration.
Matt chose to do the majority of the SFX in camera with the rest of the required visual effects completed by Gramercy Park Studios. It really pays off on screen with the transition from human to bingo ball (all done in one shot) being a real plate. Just what we did in GPS, shoot pieces of clothing and tree master passes, actor with inflatade vest, clean plate and actor in big bingo ball. All shadows and reflections, I created later … and of course small smoke effects, just honest comp. work. 😉
